Calmetholt brings you fast and nasty black metal in an atmosphere of horror and twisted insanity. The band name is the medieval form of 'Kalmthout', Verrot's heimat. Lyrically, the songs are inspired by the folklore of this region, indulged in a sauce of kitsch and blasphemic profanity.
A 3-track demo 'Ranzige Smeerlapperij' was released in 2016, bringing you a first dish of dirty black metal. Ranzige Smeerlapperij is available on CD and tape in the Calmetholt webshop or on tape at the Zwaertgevegt cult black metal tape label.
A new album is currently being recorded and is planned to be released soon ...
